Ashglass is published by Leo Dawn LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Ashglass mobile game collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Contact: support@leodawn.org
Ashglass has no accounts and no login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location, and we do not build a profile of you.
Your game progress is stored on your device only. We never receive it, and we cannot recover it if you lose or reset your device.
The game does use three third-party services — Google AdMob for advertising, Google Firebase for anonymous usage statistics and crash diagnostics, and your app store for purchases. Those are described below.
You can switch the usage statistics off inside the game at any time: Settings → Your data → Share gameplay analytics.
All of the following is written to your device's local app storage and is never transmitted to us:
The Weekly Rite leaderboard is local to your device. There is no server, no ranking against other players, and nothing is uploaded. Your handle — for example AshenWarden#0417 — is assembled by the game from fixed word lists; you cannot type it, and it identifies nothing about you.
Uninstalling Ashglass deletes all of it from the device.
Your phone's own backup may carry it to a new phone. Ashglass takes part in the standard Android and iOS backup, so your save can be included in the backup your device already makes to your own Google or Apple account. We have no access to that backup and no way to read it — it is between you and your device maker, governed by their privacy policies, and you control it in your phone's backup settings.
Beyond that there is no copy anywhere. We store nothing, so if you turn device backup off, or move between Android and iOS, your progress does not follow you and we cannot recover it. A purchase can still be restored (see §5).
Ashglass shows two kinds of ad:
The ads are non-personalized. Ashglass asks Google for non-personalized ads only, which means they are chosen from general context rather than from a profile built about you, and your data is not used to target advertising across other apps or sites. We do not track you, and both app stores are told exactly that.
To serve these, Google AdMob may still collect and process:
We do not receive any of this. It is handled by Google under Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can control this:
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Google Firebase Crashlytics, both provided by Google LLC, which processes this data on our behalf. Google's handling is described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
We collect anonymous statistics about how the game is played, so we know which parts are too hard, too slow, or broken. Every event is about the game, never about you. The complete list is:
| Event | What it records |
|---|---|
app_open | that the game was launched |
tutorial_step, tutorial_complete | which lesson was reached |
level_start, level_end, level_abandoned | chapter number, moves used, win or loss, and which modifiers were on the board |
piece_dropped, seal_completed, book_unlocked | progression milestones by Book number |
dust_earned, dust_spent | amounts of in-game currency and what it was spent on |
booster_used | which booster |
shop_opened | which screen it was opened from |
purchase_start, purchase_complete, purchase_failed | the product identifier and, on failure, the reason |
ad_shown, ad_rewarded, ad_failed | which placement |
We also record three coarse properties: how far you have progressed, whether you have removed ads, and a broad band for your dust balance.
None of these contain personal information, free text, or anything you typed. Firebase does automatically associate them with a randomly generated app-instance identifier and general device information; that is Google's processing, described in their privacy policy above and at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Crash reports. When the game crashes or hits an unexpected error, Crashlytics records the technical details of the failure — the error, where in the code it happened, your device model, and your operating system version. It does not record anything you typed and cannot see your progress or your files.
Turning it off. Settings → Your data → Share gameplay analytics stops all of the above. It takes effect immediately, not at the next launch.
Clearing it. Deleting the app clears the instance identifier, and so does Settings → Your data → Delete my data, which resets it deliberately. Because every record above is tied to that identifier and to nothing else, resetting it means nothing collected before can be connected to anything collected after, and no identifier remains by which the earlier records could be looked up.
Ashglass offers optional in-app purchases: an ad-removal item and several Ash Dust packs.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card number, billing address, or full payment details. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase completed, so the game can unlock what you bought.
Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from, under their policies — not by us.
The "Restore purchases" button in Settings asks your app store which non-consumable items your store account owns, and re-applies them. It restores "Snuff the Ads" only.
It does not restore game progress or Ash Dust, because those never leave your device.
Ashglass is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The game is rated for a teen-and-above audience because of its dark fantasy themes, and it is configured in AdMob as not child-directed.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through Ashglass, contact support@leodawn.org and we will delete what we can.
Deleting your data. Settings → Your data → Delete my data erases every Book, seal, relic, booster and all Ash Dust from the device, permanently. It does not affect purchases: Snuff the Ads can still be restored afterwards.
Your progress never leaves the device, so for that there is genuinely nothing held elsewhere to remove. The anonymous analytics and crash records in section 3 DO leave the device, and the same button resets the identifier they are tied to — see "Clearing it" above for what that means in practice.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve or delete on request. Where our third-party providers hold data:
To exercise any right, or to ask what we hold, email support@leodawn.org.
We operate no servers and hold no database of players. Data held by Google (advertising, analytics and crash reports) is retained under Google's own retention schedules, which we do not control. Purchase records are held by Apple and Google.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
